Support

The assistance and support activities, when possible, are carried out remotely, while the commercial activities, analysis and consultancy, must be carried out at the customer's premises.

Requests for assistance are forwarded to the support team through the use of a help desk system that allows customers to always have under control the status of assistance requests and to always keep a communication and collaboration channel open.

Remote support

In addition to the help desk and telephone support, the Titus support team can remotely operate directly on the customer's workstation in a secure and authorized manner (provided that the workstation is connected to the internet).

All software installation and configuration operations must be carried out using a user with administrator rights.

Installing E-View

  1. Download the software
  2. Run the installation setup
  3. Confirm the Italian installation language
  4. Confirm C: \ eurocad \ E-View as installation folder (required)
  5. Select the path of the license file - if you already have the license, select the passwords.txt file containing the license, if you do not have the license file, continue by confirming with Next. This will download a demo license that works for a period of 10 days (Basic License)
  6. Select any additional modules
  7. Select the extensions that need to be associated with E-View
  8. Select Install to begin the installation with the selected options
  9. Select Finish to complete the installation procedure

All software installation and configuration operations must be carried out using a user with administrator rights.

Installation of the demo license

Upon installation of the software, E-View will be activated for a period of 10 days.

In the demo license all the basic functions of the software are active. To request other E-View modules in demonstration mode (List, Batch, GBG-VIEW and GBG-DXF), write to support@titus.it, or open a software license request specifying the necessary modules.

Installing the nodelock license

Copy the passwords.txt file received via e-mail to the C: \ eurocad \ E-View folder, overwriting the present file.

Floating license installation

Floating licenses can be used from all workstations with the E-View software installed. The number of licenses in simultaneous use is equal to the number of licenses purchased.

To activate licenses of this type, ELS licensing software must be installed. Usually the ELS software is installed on a server computer, in order to guarantee the availability of the service on the network.

  1. Download the ELS software
  2. Verify that the purchased license (s) are available. To do this, open the Explorer browser (mandatory) and type in the address bar http: \\ name_of_server: 6301. The ELS client for checking license status will appear
  3. Configure the stations with E-View installed, modifying the contents of the eurocad \ e-view \ passwords.txt file by inserting a single line with the following syntax:
    SERVER = name_of_server

Version 15 of E-View released with PTC Creo Elements / Direct Drafting 20 format support

Version 15 of E-View supports the PTC Creo Elements / Direct Drafting file format (former name ME10) in all versions 20. The E-View 15 installation program contains the software for converting .d files into DXF (previously it was an external module). Various changes and improvements have been made in different sections of the software.

FAQ

If your license is annual, you can update it at any time, because maintenance is included in the annual licenses.

If your license is perpetual and if you have subscribed to the annual maintenance, you can access the updates whenever you want, while if you have chosen not to purchase the annual maintenance, you can still receive the updates by subscribing backwards the previous years of maintenance up to a maximum of three. On the Prices page you can calculate the upgrade amount using Configure E-View. However, if your license has been purchased for more than four years and you have never signed up for maintenance, you will need to repurchase the license, or turn it into an annual license.

By replacing the computer and reinstalling the software, E-View will no longer be able to function as the network card, which is the component of the computer that E-View uses for software protection, will no longer be the old one. At the start of the E-View program, the message “license expired” is presented. To solve the problem, simply use the old network card on the new computer, or proceed according to the following points:

After installing the correct version of E-View, the message “Unsupported operating system” is highlighted when the program starts.

To solve the problem, simply change the compatibility mode to an operating system older than the one in use (Properties>Compatibility of the e-view.exe file). The problem is usually due to the use of an incorrect version of E-View for the operating system in use. It is recommended that the software be upgraded to the latest version.

The lan address, or mac address, or physical address of the network card, not to be confused with the IP address, is a sequence of 6 pairs of hexadecimal characters (E.g .: AB-15-EF-5B-01-08) , which uniquely identifies a computer’s network card. Each computer can have more than one network card (Eg: LAN network card and Wifi network card).

To request a software license for E-View, you must indicate the mac address of your computer in the request form. To do this, once E-View Trial has been installed, using the command?>About … a window will be highlighted where the mac address will also be highlighted among the data present.

If you have no version of E-View installed, you can use the ipconfig / all command from the DOS prompt.

The network card is the component of the computer that E-View uses for software protection and replacing it at the start of the E-View program displays the “license expired” message. In this case it is necessary:
